VALLEY YOUTH THEATRE "Sponsor a Seat" Since 1996, nearly 5,000 disadvantaged youth from all over the valley have participated in Valley Youth Theatre's Sponsor-A-Seat program. This event gave them an opportunity they might not otherwise have had: the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre. These are youth who came from broken homes, domestic violence, physical disabilities and poverty. Through this special program, disadvantaged and at-risk children representing over 20 social service organizations throughout the Greater Phoenix area are invited to be guests for a special matinee performance on the JUNE 21, 2007 production of Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, performed at the grand Herberger Theatre, followed by lunch with the cast and crew. Last year, over 650 children enjoyed a special perfromance of Bye Bye Birdie. Your tax-deductible donation of only $50 will sponsor one child to participate in this magical event. As a sponsor, your name will appear in the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL playbill and on a poster in the lobby at the event.
